Interesting information there, Stian!
 
That would mean that the DMC-36 would have probably been either an extended cab truck, or an SUV predecessor.  I've only heard this code mentioned a couple times in books, but the thought of a DMC SUC is pretty awesome!

Somehow that makes more sense when we know that DMC's next model was 
supposed to be named DMC-24 (based on Giugiaro's Medusa)- yeah, you 
guessed it - 2(nd) car, 4 (seater/doors)
