[DML] Pulling to the left and to the right ....steering rack issue?

My car is always pulling to one side. As it's pulling to the left, I 
begin to "adjust" the wheel to the right.  I slowly turn to the right 
(just to the extent to keep me in the lane) and nothing happens. I 
continue to move the steering wheel until it finally "catches" and 
stops pulling to the left, but now it is pulling to the right and I go 
through this same "pinballing" process all the way down the road. 

Can someone tell me a likely cause? Do I need a new steering rack?

Steering at higher speeds is not very good but as this is the only 
Delorean I've driven, I  wasn't sure if this was what to expect...
