The Odyessy brand batteries are very good. They are used by the US Military. They aren't very expensive and have a proven track record. They used to be the Hawker battery brand. They are widely used in competition car audio and racing circuits. In the case of the DeLorean, a upgraded alternator to provide higher charge currents for the battery which would sustain more current drain if you're going to run high powered audio amplifiers (500wrms+) and upgrading the alternator-to-battery charging lead to 4-gauge will help increase current flow, along with upgrading the battery power and ground wires to at least 4-gauge. A lot of people use the Optima batteries, and while they work well for most I've had several customers who had they cars stored, even on tenders and the Optimas lost their current capacity. --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "Bernie" <bmanderville@xxxx> wrote: > When running a high power amp in any car, make sure you put in a > high capacity capacitor in to handle those power drain problems. > Cructhfield sells them.
