Lubrication, lubrication, & lubrication.

Make sure the new angle drive & lower speedo cable are kept lubricated 
on a semi regular basis.

I like the stainless lower cable that DPNW carries. Nice piece of 
hardware.

Lower speedo cable & stock angle drive are two notorious weak points. 
Once both are replaced, you should be hopefully trouble free for a 
good while since you say the upper cables are fine.
