Hi

I have removed the washers on the striker pin to adjust the door, with
trepidation I
unscrewed it completely and it stayed in place!.

The doors closes perfectly now and I did not loose the nut. So I think it
may stay
a "hypothetical situation" ( Hopefully )

I will be very interested to find out any suggestions for this
experiment as I have a similar "hypothetical situation" this time
involving the front passenger sticker pin captive nut. (Surely the
phrase "captive" nut is in the sarcastic sense then)
