[DML] Door Strut Removal Method

Hi.

I just got a new set of door struts but having trouble removing the
old door struts.  Toby suggested spraying the ball sockets and
connection points with PB blaster penetrating oil, which I did.  After
a week, still no go.  Other than using a pry bar(!!), what other
methods can I use to remove the old door struts?  Is there a special
tool?

By the way, I have the same problem with Toyota struts.  Can't remove
them either.
