Matt, If you already have the engine out of the car I would just replace the mounts. It's much easier to replace the mounts before you put the engine back in. Just make sure not to break the bolts on the engine or the mount bolts on the frame, both can become a real mess, (been there, done that, don't ever want to do that again).
