Hervey's looks the same as the one I got from DMCH, I haven't looked
at Rob's. The way the dam is shaped I think the fans will be able to
suck just like normal-- the plate isn't that close to the grill, and
at highway speeds there is more than enough air flowing that the fans
don't do anything.
However... I still mounted mine to one side instead of the middle! ;-)
I even thought about trimming one of the three mounting slots out but
decided it really wasn't necessary, it moves enough air with the stock
fans. I'd worry about replacement fans with lower SCFMs though, being
in hot Houston....
