[DML] rear end output shafts seals replacement

just bought new seal for my rear end (differential)where the shaft 
from the wheel connect, the old one is larger and have a gold sleeve 
in it, the new one is the same size but not enough wide to carry the 
gold sleeve, the sleeve is here for avoiding dirt to enter the seal, 
anyone already had this ?? i will probably cut the old seal in 2 parts 
and install the gold sleeve with it....
