Well, if anything is gonna happen, it's gonna happen out there on the road, right? Idle the car and force the fans to come on, check for leaks, and make sure that the motor cools down to the point where the fans turn off. Next, check your fuses, and ensure that they're all the correct amperage. That's a great starter that will take care of your base concerns there. Otherwise, I say kick the tires, and light the fires! And head out onto the open highway. That's what I did when I picked up my car.
