Mkae sure the spark plugs are all gapped exactly alike and do a valve adjustment. It is important that all of the cylinders are balanced as closely as possible. Do a compression test. If any are off more than 5% it will be difficult to get the motor much smoother at idle. Vacuum leaks will also affect the idle quality because the leaks usually do not affect all cylinders equally.
