RE: [DML] Fuel Pump Problem

Mike, The pump isn't supposed to run continuous until the engine starts to
turn over and run. Then the RPM relay picks up the pulse from the pulse coil
and turns on or supplies the power to the pump. Have you checked the fuel
filter screen and the fuel filter. Either one can stop up and lower the fuel
pressure. I now have a new fuel filter screen which will eliminate the fuel
pump starvation and hopefully the fuel pump noise.

Subject: [DML] Fuel Pump Problem

The starter engages and the car turns over but appears not to get any
gas.

I need some ideas on where to look next.

The car has....
New Battery
New Alternator
New Fuel Pump
New RPM Relay
Inertia Switch is closed

The fuel pump does not engage when you turn the key.

I can jumper the fuel pump to run continuously by removing the RPM
relay and connecting the brown / purple/white wires. So the pump's
not dead.

Any ideas where to look next? Is it a ground problem somewhere?

thanks

Mike
