It sounds like he got your A/C going. If he did manage to find and fix the leak there is not much more for you to do. I change the service valves "just because" whenever I service a system. Be sure he replaced the caps over the service valves to prevent leaks and keep them clean. I like the brass ones, the plastic ones won't hold pressure. It would have been nice if he at least checked the oil level in the compressor. Better yet would have been to change it but my philosophy is the less you open a system the better so if it isn't leaking now and it blows cold, just enjoy it. Make sure the belt to the compressor is in good condition and tight. Replace the idler pulley bearings if you don't know when they were last changed. You could make sure the condensor coil is clean. About the only other maintainence is to make sure the mode switch isn't hissing. There really isn't too much you have to do on a working A/C system. To check it just stick a thermometer in a vent while it is running. You should see a 20 degree delta T. That means if the air going in to the A/C is 80 it should come out around 70. You should also hear the compressor cycle often.
