But that has to do with prefered sales, not "Pre-Preduction".

Whom a certain run of cars are sent to has nothing to do with an
entire production run, when they are the exact same vehicle. They're
all DMC-12s, no special packages were installed, nothing was changed
structurally, so they're no different. Especially since the company
did not recognize them as such.
