To answer your question in part, my car Vin# Pilto25 was an early 
re-production test car that was used as a road test vehivle for not only the 
factory but for the motoring press.

It was never meant to be sold to the public and only survived because DMC 
went bankrupt and this car along with a few others were fixed up and sold at 
auction.

You can see my car on the cover of Autocar magazine in 1981 it still bears 
the same registration plates RIA7124, and it shows the car on the apex of 
the test track in Dunmurray.
