This is not a true statement I replaced two cars with 6x9's with NO 
alteration at all
I had photos on the web page for the raffle car.

I made sure the magnets matched and it was a shallow profile
The speakers were Pioneer I believe and I got them at HHGregg for I believe 
$69 per pair
