It would have helped if he could have seperated the DMC-12 from the DMC-24 (maybe even the DMC-80) and gotten sedan prototyping done sometime in late 1981. instead, he focused on other things such as the Logan snowgrooming outfit, fashion accessories, buying out Chrysler, high-tech unproven engines, etc. In my opinion, he just didn't focus on the car - instead he focused on the DMC conglomerate.
