*IF* the hole in my block is original, the thread pattern is 1/8" BSPT
(British), not 1/8" NPT (American). They look deceptively similar, but
BSPT is 28 TPI while NPT is 27. Adapters are available between the two
systems, and between different pipe sizes:

The other thing you need to watch for is calibration. Most dometic oil
pressure senders are calibrated to drive 100 PSI gauges, not 80 PSI.
