That would be because there isn't an engine management computer to put a chip 
INTO!

computers in the DeLorean - 
1. idle ECU - no reason to modify
2. lambda ECU - reads O2 sensor readings and converts to pulse width for 
frequency valve which varies control pressure. i suppose you could hack it to 
give more fuel to the cylinders, except the entire control pressure system in 
REACTIVE rather than actually controlling anything. 

everything else is mechanical or runs off of relays. no place to put a chip 
in!
