Until a few weeks ago I owned VIN 06881, it had the right front fender
antenna. Another guy over here ownes VIN 6831 and he also has a fender
antenna.
Someone drove against the right side of my car in March so I had a big
dent in my fender and it needed to be replaced. We ordered one without
an antenna hole so there's one more less D with a fender antenna.
Even over here we tried to find out which vin numbers were made with
what kind of antenna but there's no real line to measure on.
I heard that after it was obvious the window antenna's weren't so great,
you could let it be replaced with a fender antenna or a quarter panel
antenna. The fender antenna was a cheaper option then the electrical
quarter panel antenna so it was al up to the owner at that time.
I don't know if it's correct but it would explain the variety of antenna
options throughout the vin numbers.

VIN#02010 (with window antenna, which is not too bad!)

But what's the VIN cut off for each? I can't say I've ever seen a D with a fender antenna... and I know I've seen at least 100+ DeLoreans by now. Are they the rarest?
