Cold plugs can carbon foul, especially on a car that doesn't get much
road use.
Oil burners are also vulnerable.
Re: continuing ignition controversy -- again I wonder why the
controversy over a $30 part? Is practically the cheapest thing on the car.
And I personally find it does make a difference...
