radio reception

My car is an Oct 81, it dosn't have the craig radio, but everything 
for th audio in th car is stock. I'm not willing to put a cd player 
in yet. My question is The car's reception is really bad and in the 
mountains of north eastern PA it can get bad. I there a way to fis it?
