If size is realy that big of a deal, try searching
for an Electric PS-unit from a Smart. These little
Mercedes-enginered city cars are also rear-engined,
RWD and only feature a 3 cilinder 800cc turboed engine.

Have a look at <http://www.smart.com>, "unfortunately"
these funny little things are only distributed in Europe.
