The part in the facia IS a rivnut. It is a special kind of rivet with
an internal thread. It is installed like a "pop" rivet except that you
use a "special" kind of tool that the rivnut threads onto. You may
still have them but the screw broke off inside. You could try drilling
out the broken piece and retapping it. If the rivnut is missind or
completely shot it can be drilled out and replaced with the "correct"
rivnut. Remember it is metric. You could try to locate it on your own
or you could contact a Delorean vender. These rivnuts are used all
over the car to fasten to the fiberglass like under the spare tire.
You can also oreder the correct screws if yours are missing or rusty.
