Re: [DML] Woes

Since you are in Northern California, you might consider attending a meeting of the NCDMC. we meet monthly or so. There is a ton of Delorean expertise represented among the members, and I'm sure you can get some worthwhile advice on how to pick the right Delorean for you. At any one meeting we will have from 5 to 10 Deloreans in attendance, so if you have not had a chance to see a collection of D's in various states of restoration, it would be a great opportunity to do so. I see that you have looked into acquiring a painted D... One of the members has just finished stripping and regraining his once painted Delorean, so you could get some insight from him too.

Check out www.ncdmc.org for details and info about the next get together. We would be really happy to see you!

I called 2 places in town (No. Cal.) to take a look at a DMC that I might buy. The first guy (volvo specialist) refused - saying they are way too hard to work on. The 2nd guy (european\Volvo specialist) refused. He said they are very difficult to put back and gave me an example of the HEAD from the head gasket fame. Both advised me never to buy it. What gives???? Now they spooked me into possibly not buying the car
