Following up on the assumption that it is an ignition system problem there are 2 common things to check. Look at the white thing on the firewall to the left. Make sure all of the connections are on, clean, and tight. The other common problem is a bad pick-up coil in the distributer, they seem to go bad when warmed up. Pull a spark plug wire off and see if there is a spark when cranking.
