Charlie, if the car has only been sitting for less than a year, and you put some fuel stabilizer in it, i think the car would be ok. just start it up, and go! make sure you check your tire pressure, oil, coolant, etc before you put it back into regular service. if the car doesn't have any stabilizer in it, i suppose you could syphon the gas out, and refill it with fresh gas, but i don't believe it will do anything to the tank. the plastic tank is better than metal - won't rust!
