( Moderator's note: I can't think of another think that could be said about hauling a spare tire and the subject looks ready to start back around with the same stories so I'm killing it. )
Okay you all!!
The rear tyre will just fit in the front luggage compartment with the
hood slightly up and dislodged. Because it is hinged at the front the
hood will never come up and be a hazard whatsoever. As simple as that.
You don't even have to drive slow using this method. With it on the
engine compartment, you block you rear view and that is more a hazard
then anything. This is the safest way to drive a spare to a garage!!

A front tire will fit in the well where the
spare is stored. A rear will not. The
alternative is to put the flat rear tire
on the engine cover below the louvers and
drive REAL SLOW to a place where you can
get the tire fixed. It's handy to keep
a bungee cord in the glove box just in
case this happens. You can use the cord
to hold down the louvers.

Being a future owner am I to understand that the
delorean , if it got a flat and you had a passenger
and no luggage rack there would be no room for the
flat tire? even where the spare was stored??
