You have to examine all of the bushings in the suspension system front and rear. Particularly pay attention to the trailing arm bolts, TAB's for short. The are at the front end of the rear trailing arms on the rear suspension, one on each side. You need to remove the aluminum covers to see them and make sure they aren't loose, broken, or bent. To get the covers off you have to remove the battery behind the passenger seat and the carpet in the "vault" behind the driver's seat. There used to be 3 nuts in each, some may be missing, broken. Be careful about the shims, they must be replaced as they are, that is count the # and make sure it stays the same unless you have a 4 wheel alignment, in which case the tech may change some to adjust the THRUST ANGLE. To see if the TAB's are bent just loosen and turn the head with a wrench slowly watching to see if the trailing arm moves up and down. Be sure to retorque to spec. Not a bad idea to just replace them for cheap insurance. While under the car grease the front end, check the fluid level in the trans and final drive, and inspect the boots on the C/V joints. Whenever I turn my wheels all the way either left or right and drive slowly, either forward or reverse, I hear a clunking sound (link I'm rolling over small objects) and the wheels jerk slightly. Any idea what the problem is? The solution? > > Bob Thomason > #5252 > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
