If you want the complete kit, the Island Twin Turbo will have everything you need. Typicly, 2 IHI RHB-5 chargers are used on the DeLorean. If you wanted to build everything custom, then I suppose that you could pick up a couple of these from the junkyard, and then pay to have them rebuilt. From what I've seen, these are usually used 1 to a I-4 motor. So with 2 for a V-6, it's easy to see where the extra pep comes from. Neverminding the custom exhaust and various piping that the car will need, you will also need to complete a fairly large range of internal work to the engine. Yes, I know that you can simply bolt many of these kits on, but for the $ you're going to pay, you'll want to extract as much performance as possible from the turbos. Which at the every least can mean lowering the compression ratio. And you'll be buying higher octane gas from there on out. The Legend turbo design that was commissioned by DMC is IMO the best implementation that I've ever seen for the DeLorean. Internals were reworked, it had dual intercoolers, etc... So it's no wonder that it was estimated to cost the buyer an extra $8K. And that was 1981 dollars! Th Island kit is ok, but isn't one that I would choose. No intercoolers, and far more piping than the Legend. So on that note, when I do save up enough to increase my engine power, I'm probably just going to stick with the non-aspirated. That is of course unless someone has a real legend engine that they would like to part with at that time! :) -Robert vin 6585 "X" --- In dmcnews@xxxx, Vin 5386 <delorean_stainless@xxxx> wrote: > Another question I'm thinking about today, Does anyone > know of a supplier for a twin turbo that will fit the > plenum of the PRV?
