Mark's right. What was I thinking about? We're still both talking about
removing the whole assembly, but I did forget about some nuts. They're
pretty insignificant and very easy to remove. So easy I forgot doing it
totally... But they are definitely there. seven ( i think) on the
bottom and two on the outside (right and left). Plus you have to remove
the engine cover latch cable. You can do this from the little
compartment cover near the latch. It is a pain, and you may not have to
disconnect it if you don't mind not moving the facia very far. 

I dont think you need to remove the tail lights like mark said, just the
one connector that plugs into the car...
