Does anyone know what's going on with the Delorean Owner's Association?

I just received my Winter 2002 issue (with dues rate increase notice,
incidently) and was floored at what was missing from the magazine.

Namely.... the ads... there were almost none.

Take a look at the Summer 2000 issue:
There were 8.5 pages of ads by 7 different compaines. Not including
classifieds or DOA's own advertisements.

Contrast THAT with their latest issue:
2.5 pages by 2 different companies... again this doesn't include the club's
own advertising or classifieds.

I noticed classified ad rates doubled....80¢ a word up 50% from a year ago.
Did the display ad rates jump?? or is the noticeable absence of advertising
a deadline issue?

I know the DOA is a great organization but I have to wonder if they can
continue to publish and ship a 40 page full color magazine with little or no
support from Delorean vendors.

How many paid members does the DOA have? Does anyone have a financial
statement from the club?

Just curious.
