Delorean QAC history question

Hi all,

Does any body know what happened to Joe Black and the original 
Delorean service center? Most of the people that were involved 
with Delorean service in California in the beginning are still
around today. I was looking through the old issues of Delorean
World and noticed the "National Service Center" stopped advertising
around mid '85, right around the same time D1 came into being.
(The reason for my curiosity was brought on by the old service bills
that came with my car, the original owner had a lot of work done
there, then seemed to switch to D1 for service.)
