Make sure both surfaces are clean of any old adhesive
before using the Emblem Adhesive. 3M also makes an Adhesive
Remover that is excellent. It helps to use a length of
masking tape on the body panel to act as a guide when
reattaching the rub strips.

The body moldings, called rub strips, are sold with an adhesive backing, and
can be peeled off for service or replacement. If you are re attaching a
previously installed strip use 3M Emblem Adhesive, follow the directions for
professional results.
