This hose connects the heat stove on the exhaust manifold to the air 
mixture box for the fresh air intake. The hose on my car was worse 
off. Any auto parts store will carry a compatable hose to replace this 
part. However all the new hoses I've seen are black. Myself, when I 
did have this assembly in place, the black looked much more suttle. 
But if you're a stickler for originality, the silver hose is the 
proper color.
