Before you go tearing things apart make sure the wire going to the sensor is still attached! The sensor is located on the front of the right cylinder head and the wire should be green/blue. If all of the other gauges are working it is unlikely the problem is in the dash. The temp sensor has a low failure rate so the most common thing is a wiring problem between the gauge and the sensor. It is very easy to knock things loose in the front of the motor because it is so tight to work in there. Refer to Wiring Diagram section 2-C+D.
