Not to beat this to death, but an important thing to consider is 
WHERE the "gone" parts of the hose end up. Sure, some of it is 
literally dissolved, but chunks end up in the tiny orifices 
of the fuel distributor ($700-1000) and the fuel injectors ($40 
ea??). . . . Makes that "official DMC" $95 hose look pretty cheap.
