Engine compartment light II



Thanks for the response, I had read that they stayed on and that people
disconnected them for that reason. On my cars everything has to work
as intended (or better) if it's reasonably possible. This was an easy
fix. If I were going to show my car my first thought would be to take
out the courtesy lamp fuse and run a neat little (fused leg) wire pair
to a tiny switch hidden out of the way. I may do it anyway I spend so
much time working on one thing or another with all of the doors and lids
open. That fuse was out for most of my first month while chasing down
electrical problems. The fuse box, by the way, is a great place to
check for strange current drain, just put your current indicating meter
across the fuse holder (use the volt meter first of course to see which
is +).
