I have a feeling that the reason for the pivot at the end like that is for 
leaking, didn't Mercedes doors leak then DeLorean made a special seal to stop 
it? If you look at those doors they look like doors on a regular car except 
open up, and I have a feeling that it would require at least double the 
amount of room a DeLorean needs to open its door.
