Hi Nick,
I think that the best stuff you can use is this: 3M General Trim Adhesive
Part no. 051135-08088. You can get it at Home Depot and it's in the
paint/glue departament. It comes in a white 16.25oz. (460g) spray can and it
cost around $10. I just used it on my D and this stuff is just great. I
glued carpet to stainless (hood), carpet to fiberglass, and dealer stripe to
stainless. Just follow the instructions printed on the can - cover BOTH
surfaces, wait about 1-3 minutes, mate the sprayed surfaces. Worked great
for me.
