Installing windshield

Hello List,
I cut my windshield out about 5 months ago because it was severely 
cracked. I bought a new one and I'm going to have a friend at a glass shop 
come put it in for me. since he didnt take the old windshield off he doesnt 
know exactly how it goes back on. could anyone give me glueing instructions? 
I know how to put the trim on etc but am not sure about the glue bead 
thickness, what type of glue do I use? He said just give him a few basic 
things and he will come do it for material cost only. any info would be 
greatly appreciated.
Also, I am curious about the new Dash cover DMC Houston was working on. 
Does anyone know exactly how long? if not too long I wont put my dash back 
in until it is available.
