painting door sill plate letters

Hello,
I just started to lay down NEW carpet in my DeLorean today. I am taking 
my time so I get it perfect, only have the passenger side done at this time. 
I should have the whole thing done within a week or two. (work is getting in 
the way:(
anyways....I thought I would add a little touch to the interior by 
painting the "DMC" logo on the door sill plates. I know there are stainless 
steel letters you can glue in but I want the letters white. any suggestions 
on what type of paint I should use? how should I paint it, brush or mask off 
and spray. I just want it done right:) has anyone successfully done this? 
I am not really into modifications but this isnt much.
