[DML] Automatic wipers?

Do DeLoreans have some sort of automatic intermittent wipers? It was
raining today, and even though my wipers were turned off, every three
seconds or so they wiped any way. There didn't appear to be a
malfunction in the switch -- I could turn them on fully, and it
didn't do this when it wasn't raining. If this is a real feature,
not some bizarre malfunction, how do I turn it off?
