The "no hot start problem" is probably due to a defective fuel accumulator.
The previous owner is incorrect about flooding the engine when you step on
the accelerator. In the CIS fuel injection system pushing the accelerator
while cranking the car increased air volume not fuel.

You do not have to air bleed the cooling system when adding coolant. To
prevent this problem in the future you can purchase our Cooling System
Overheat Protector. Instructions are included with details on the location
of the air bleed screw. By the way, once you install our product, air
bleeding will not be necessary for the life of the car.

Concerning your direction signals, horn and hazard flasher are you sure you
checked fuse # 6. In some cases a blade fuse can look O.K. but it may
actually be bad.
