[DML] Re: Volvo engine -- yea or nea?

Dave,
The Volvo 760 GLE V-6 is a B-28F which is the same basic engine used in the
DeLorean. The owner is mistaken about the horsepower rating. There is no
factory 174 horsepower PRV. The 174 he is referring to is the cubic inch
displacement. The horsepower rating is 130.

Although this engine looks like a DeLorean PRV it varies in several areas
that does not make it easily interchangeable. Depending on the condition of
the external components the $150 may be a good deal. For example a
replacement fuel distributor costs around $700.
