I didnt understand what you were saying:

And did the insurance guy tell you that in the eyes of the insurance
company the car was worth only $500 total? That is totally erroneous--
hell even the stainless steel by itself is worth more than that...You
could "part out" the car in a week and make $500. It sounds like the
man is just ignorant.

What state do you live in? What insurance companies have you check
with? Your insurance will be high anyway because you are under 21 and
male....strikes one and two...God help you if you have had a ticket or
an accident!
