[DML] Re: dmc northstar conversion

Greetings...

We are not doing the automatic at this time becouse of three things...
1 -The automatic is not an overdrive unit with proper gearing for this engine... Too high RPM at highway speeds....
2 - It does not have a lockup torque converter. Heat generation can be a major problem...
3 - The automatic will not last long with this HP and torque..

Yes we had it at St. Lewis last month... Total of 5035 miles in two weeks...

I checked out the web site and it looks promising! A 300 horsepower
DeLorean could really be a lot of fun. Quick question from you DeLorean gurus
out there...why would this shop ONLY convert manual, not automatic vehicles?
Any guesses?

If I remember, isn't the guy who drove this DeLorean to St. Louis and
other places on this list? If so, how is this vehicle insured...as a regular
DeLorean or a V-8 powered sports car?
