The M1 was a joint venture with BMW and ferrarri. The engine was from 
ferrarri. Dont know if it was a V-8 or a V-12. But this car was from late 
70's early 80's. Italdesign did the styling on it. The car was sold in 
small quantities in the U.S. (less than 500 if i recal the facts) and was 
discontinued when ferrarri wanted out of the deal. Hot looking car though 
with lots of lines similar to other ItalDesign cars of the period (DMC12, 
Esprit, Maserati, Izuzu impulse). I would take it to be a very hot 
collectors item, meant to be seen and not driven :^( unlike D's.
