check the archives regarding installing the rearview mirror. when you glue it on to the windshield use the proper spacer between the metal part of the mirror and the windshield. the coefficient of expansion is different between glass and metal. the spacer allows the metal to expand at a different rate than the windshield.

 

if you do not use the spacer--your windshield will crack.

 

by the way if a delorean owner out there did glue their mirror to their windshield without the spacer and the windshield didn't crack yet, it will.

I broke my rear view mirror.... Are theyeasy to replace since they are stuck on the windshield? Please help. Thanks. ---Dan
