[DML] DeLoreans in South Africa?

Can someone shed any light on this...

In the magazine "Car South Africa", May 1982 there is an article on 
DeLoreans for sale in South Africa. The price was R60.000... How much is 
that in US$?

The importer was Meerneed International, an import/export company.

Are there any South African DeLorean owners on this list??? Does anyone know 
how many cars that actually found their way to South Africa?

Since this article was written in May 1982 I'd guess that the VIN numbers 
were in the late 11.000 series... And there are also reports on DeLoreans 
finding their ways to Kuwait and Saudi-Arabia.
